One bucket, two jobs. AquaDoc Chlorine Free Oxidizing Shock is built for owners who maintain both a pool and a hot tub and don’t want separate buckets of shock for each. The 10 lb size handles weekly pool oxidation plus regular spa shocking from a single product.
The active is potassium peroxymonosulfate (MPS), the standard oxygen-based shock active. Instead of adding more chlorine, MPS works by breaking down the organic load in your water: body oils, lotions, sunscreen, sweat, and other residue that accumulate from regular use. That organic load is what fuels chloramines, which are the source of that strong chlorine smell people often mistake for high chlorine. Reducing the organic load helps reduce chloramines and helps the water look and feel cleaner.
