Description
Rx Clear® 50% Pool Algaecide is designed to effectively kill and prevent various types of algae growth in swimming pools. The coating action it provides helps cover pool surfaces and keep any existing algae from being able to attach and grow on walls, floors, etc. This suspends the algae in the water.
Note:
- Warmer water temperatures enhance the effectiveness of this product. Algaecide works best when the pool water is in the 70-90°F range.
- This product is compatible with most commonly used swimming pool chemicals, but should not be mixed with soap or other cleaners or premixed with other water-treating chemicals. It works best when added by itself directly to swimming pool water.

Dosages:
- Initial Dose should be used at the beginning of the swimming season
- Maintenance Dose should be added once a week, or more if your pool sees heavy use
- If make-up water is added at more than 10% of pool capacity per week, add 6fl. oz. of product for each 10,000 gallons of fresh makeup added per week.
- For winterizing, add 5fl.oz. per 10,000 gallons of water left in the pool.
- To kill, control, and/or destroy algae, use the Initial Dose
- To suppress or inhibit growth, use the Maintenance Dose
- To prevent foaming, do not add more than the suggested dose.
