Haviland Winter Closing Kit – 20,000 Gallons

The Haviland 20K Gallon Winter Closing Kit is designed for pools up to 20,000 gallons and includes fast-acting Quick Shock and Algae Kill for effective algae control during winterization.

The Quick Shock is a dry granular form of sodium dichlor that eliminates algae and purifies pool water. The Algae Kill (Algae Kil 10) is a liquid algaecide that controls existing algae and helps prevent future growth.

This winter kit is also compatible with saltwater pools for seamless winterization.

Active Ingredients:

  • Quick Shock: 99% Sodium Dichloro-s-triazinetrione.
  • Algae Kil 10: 10% Alkyl (C14=50%, C12=40%, C16=10%) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, 90% Other Ingredients.

Directions for Using the Chlorinated Winter Kit at Pool Closing:

  1. Thoroughly clean your pool, including vacuuming any debris, to avoid issues when reopening in the spring. Remove all ladders and accessories.
  2. Test and balance your pool water to the following parameters: pH 7.2-7.5, Alkalinity 80-150 ppm, Hardness 175-275 ppm, and ensure Iron or Copper is ≤ 0.05 ppm.
  3. Add the entire contents of the kit 24 hours before lowering the water level:
    • Broadcast the Haviland Quick Shock evenly over the pool water.
    • Pour the entire bottle of Haviland Algae Kil 10 directly into the pool.
  4. Lower the water level to the recommended closing level.
  5. Clean and store all pool equipment.
  6. Install a high-quality pool cover to keep debris out.
