With a fireplace opening requirement of just 29-1/2 inches wide and 15 inches deep (the smallest in the entire Kozy Heat insert lineup), 30,000 BTU/hr of heating power, three media options (Log, Rock, or Glass), and a standard 75 CFM blower, the Chaska 29 fits installations no other Kozy Heat insert can accommodate.
The Smallest Gas Insert in the Kozy Heat Lineup
The Chaska 29’s defining feature is its compact form factor. Many older homes — especially pre-1950s construction — have masonry fireplaces with openings 30 inches wide or narrower. Most modern gas inserts (including the Kozy Heat Chaska 34 and Nordik 34i) require fireplace openings 33+ inches wide. The Chaska 29 fits cavities the others can’t — including small home library fireplaces, compact bedroom fireplaces, and mobile home installations where no other Kozy Heat insert is approved.

Will the Chaska 29 Fit Your Fireplace?
